Navigating Resistance to Change is a learning series for white people dedicated to naming, anticipating, preventing, and navigating the predictable ways that organizations resist change towards greater racial equity.

Purchase just the livestream(s) that interest you, or purchase the entire 6-workshop series at a discount. Attend live or rewatch recordings at your own pace.

Each session covers one form of resistance in a 60-minute live zoom setting, guided by 2 white members of our team. We'll focus on how aspects of whiteness get in the way of an organization's best efforts and intentions to change, and how we as white people can take up the work of mitigating resistance. What to expect in each module:

  • Explore one form of resistance, what it looks like, when to predict it will emerge, and how it functions in organizations to keep things the way they are — to protect the inequitable and harmful racial status quo.

  • Map your organization: identify how one form of resistance shows up in your context (around you, within you)

  • Practice tools and tips for navigating one form of resistance, so a racial equity agenda and goals can be pursued.

  • Commit to at least one new practice to navigate one form of resistance to racial equity work.

  • Gain access to support and feedback from facilitators, and a postwork toolkit full of activities and resources.
